More Was Lost

Eleanor Perényi

“More Was Lost reads more delightfully than fiction. Perceptive, sensitive, the book is full of anecdotes, glimpses of semi-feudal life, and vignettes of the friends and relatives with whom the Perényis passed their days.”
—The New York Times
